Tuesday Tutorial: Framed Vinyl Fabric Board
This is a super cute, easy project you can whip up in no time! My designer sis-in-law re-decorated our friend’s hair salon over the weekend as a surprise, and she asked me to come up with a way to display a quote in a fun, cute, creative way. This is what we came up with!!

Supplies:
- poster frame (12X36)
- spray paint color of choice
- 1/3 yd light colored fabric
- hot glue gun
- vinyl and cutter (or you can buy a cute quote already done for you:)
- hardware to hang your frame
Step 1: Dis-assemble your frame and save the cardboard piece and the glass for working with later. Spray the wooden frame and allow to dry for a good 24 hours.
Step 2: Press all your fabrics. If you don’t like how the fabric looks over the cardboard piece, wrap it in a white sheet or white piece of fabric first. Begin on one end of the cardboard piece, glue the end of the fabric to the cardboard using your hot glue. Pull nice and tight. Move to the opposite end next, and do the same thing. Make sure it’s super tight. Then do the other sides, gluing about 6 inches at a time. The trick is making sure it’s nice and tight.
If you started with your white fabric (like I did), repeat these steps for the main fabric going on top.

Step 3: Cut your vinyl to say whatever quote you would like. I used my silhouette to do this part, and used an entire roll of vinyl trying to get it right!! I STILL haven’t mastered my machine!! Transfer the vinyl to the glass, lining everything up the way you like.
Step 4: Put the fabric covered cardboard piece back in place, and cover with the glass front. Re-assemble your frame.
Screw in tiny brackets on either side of the frame. Hang up your art!!
What a cute little quote for our cute little beautician!!
