Merry Christmas!! Gender Reveal!! & Giveaway Winner!!

Oh I hope you are enjoying this lovely Christmas holiday!!  You all deserve the very best!!

So for this first half of my pregnancy, I was SURE this baby was a girl.  I’ve been right 3 out of 3 times so far… but guess what!  I was WRONG this time!!!

It’s a BOY!!!

And we are in soo much trouble, b/c we haven’t thought of a single boy’s name, and my husband is looking to the periodic table for inspiration (he’s a total geek like that:)

Ok, ok, I’ll get on with the winner of the quilt:)  Thanks sooo much for your kind words and comments!!  The winner of this baby girl quilt

Last Minute Neighbor Gift Ideas!

***If you haven’t entered our baby quilt giveaway go HERE and enter now!!***

Phew!  Just finished passing out the last of them!!  Neighbor gifts!!  I LOVE thinking of new ideas each year, you know something cute and simple…  There were tonz of ideas on Pinterest of course…

For my kids’ teachers, I mod podged a clipboard, addeded some vinyl, cute ribbons, and voila!!

Throw it in a basket with some fun school supplies, a treat, and a card from your student, super easy teacher gift!!

For my neighbors this year I made some tea towels, (see Tutorial HERE) wrapped them around some bread, and tied with a ribbon and a card.

I’ve been on a popcorn kick lately and wanted to throw that in the mix as well.  THIS recipe for caramel corn is soooo good!!

I thought it would be fun to dress up a little jar to hold the popcorn.

Thanks to Silhouette, and their holiday promotion I got this “Joy” Christmas art for free!!  So I added the vinyl to the jar…

mixed the popcorn up inside, and added a square scrap of fabric to the top.

Just tie on a label with a ribbon and you’re good!!

The backs of our labels had our family picture for the year…

What about you?  What gifts did you give this year!!!  You still have 3 more days!!!

Merry Christmas you cuties!

Baby Quilt Giveaway!!

So I started sewing a little over 2 years ago.  My first projects were rag quilts, and then I moved on to pieced quilts, then aprons, then pretty much anything I could figure out in my head.  I have to say that quilting is still my favorite thing ever to do!!

I made these two quilts way back when, and have held on to them ever since.  I knew I would use one of them for this new baby we’re having, but the question is, which one!!

Well… we find out what we’re having on Friday, so I thought it would be fun to make a little giveaway out of it!  And also b/c I LOVE my readers!!!  Merry Christmas lovelies:)

As you can see, one of these quilts is clearly for a girl,

and the other for a boy,

so on Christmas Day I will announce the gender of the baby, and the winner of the giveaway!!!

The winner will receive the quilt that is not chosen for our baby:)  (Each quilt measures 40 X 55 inches)

Sweet right!!!

This is by far my FAVORITE season to craft and create!!  I have a list a mile long of ideas and inspiration I have found on Pinterest that will probably take me YEARS to make:)  I saw a clever idea to add ribbons and bows to your cupboards for hanging Christmas cards.  I decided to make something similar using my pantry door!

Simply tie a LONG strip of ribbon or tulle (I used tulle) along each side of your door.

Add a festive banner if desired.

Paint some clothes pins, and clip up your Christmas cards!!  Such a fun festive way to display your lovely greeting cards:)
