Bedroom to Craft Room: Part 1
So, there will probably be like 10 parts to this project. Know why, cuz I have no idea what I’m doing!! This is totally a learning process, but so far I love the results!!
We’re feeling a little bit squished in our little house, and with a new addition coming soon, we had to make some changes!
This used to be my boys’ bedroom…
We moved them down to the basement/playroom (don’t know why we didn’t do it sooner, it’s awesome!!!) and are converting their old bedroom to a craft room/nursery!
And I’m embarrassed to admit, this used to be my old office…
I had about 4 X4 feet to work with!!
Ok, so back to the NEW room,
The painting process…
This is a terrible picture, sorry, but you can see it’s a buttery cream on top, and bluish grey on the bottom.
I won a stencil a couple of months ago from Royal Design Studio, and I LOVE it!! This was my first time ever using a stencil, but it was great!! The stencil process…
I did most of the work before we found out the gender, but I was SO SURE it was a girl I went ahead and went on the girly side of neutral…
Yep, these are pretty girly faux roman shades…
I’m hoping the nursery bedding can be baby boy greys and blues, it will have to do!!
So… stay tuned for more!!

Candy Striped Burlap Wreath
Ok. I apologize for my obsession with burlap. I think that after this project it will come to an end. Maybe.
Ever since I saw the candy cane wreath from Whipperberry, I knew I wanted to make a striped wreath. I followed my tutorial from the holiday bubble wreath, and just alternated colors this time.
I had an old frame (I have a collection of old frames for occasions such as this:), that I spray painted white. I sanded it a bit, added some burlap rosettes, and looped it at the top!
Oh, and I forgot about the glittery stars:)
Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Monday: What I Pinned…
How was your weekend????
I feel absolutely blessed beyond measure for the wonderful family and friends that surround us. It was a lovely weekend, (even if I gained 5 lbs)… I pinned A LOT of stuff this week. There is just sooo much inspiration out there!!
I’m excited to share my moster shirt tutorial with you tomorrow, from last week. That’s all I have to show for:) I’ll just blame it on the holiday weekend:)
So, this week I’ll share a few of my pins…
I’m running out of hiding places for Christmas presents, so it’s time to get wrapping! Love these ideas for wrapping gifts…
And I’m realizing how much more there is to actually do in my new craft room… I’m trying to take it a little at a time… but I LOVED this stencil from Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous so much I went our and bought a stencil of my own, and I’m going to attempt it for the first time this week!! Eek!!!
Wish me luck!!
How about you!! Did you pin any fun projects this week? Need an invite? As always, shoot me an email and I’ll get ya one:)

Christmas Advent Garland
My kids are sooo excited for the countdown for Christmas to start!! Who are we kidding, they already ask me everyday, “How many more days until Christmas??”
A couple more weeks in November, then let the countdown begin!!!
Just decorate some cute little chinese takeout boxes (found at your local party store). As you can see, my decorations are SUPER simple, then thread a ribbon through the top. Pin with mini clothespins to some hanging twine!!
This little advent garland just follows the boughs of our lighted pine garland…
And a shot during the daytime…
Can’t wait to fill these little cuties with some fun ideas, traditions, and treats of course!!! Hope you are all having an excellent weekend!!

Tuesday, I Mean Wednesday Tutorial: Necklace Display
So ever since I saw this on Pinterest…
I knew it would be perfect for our boutique to display our necklaces!!
You may just want one to stick on your dresser and display your jewelry in a shabby chic way:)
Either way, here’s the simple tut on how to make your own!!!
Step 1:
“Spray paint on the tray.” Didn’t catch that error, you know what I mean:)
Step 2:
Step 3:
Make sure you don’t let it leak all over the tray (OOPS!!!) If you do, just wipe it off:)
Spray with a primer sealant to prevent scuffs and chips.
Step 4:
And you’re done!!
Told ya it was easy:)
Here’s our little boutique display and our necklace holder in action…

Tuesday Tutorial: Wickedly Yarn Wrapped Halloween Wreath
So I absolutely ADORE my kids’ preschool teacher! She’s seriously amazing. So I was thrilled when she asked me to dress up her class door with a Halloween wreath.
I’ve seen lots of yarn wrapped wreaths all over Blogland, and decided to make my own version.
So, go grab some supplies and let’s get started!
Step 1:
You can even mark your foam wreath where you want the different colors to begin and end, (before wrapping it with yarn.)
This is optional, but I think it adds a little something special:)
Step 2:
Attach the letters to twine with hot glue, and wrap the twine around the wreath.
Step 3:
For a simple tutorial on how to make some felt flowers, go HERE.
Hang up your Wicked Wreath just in time for trick-or-treaters!!
Halloween is almost here!! Hope it’s a fun week for everyone!!!
