Sewing without a Pattern: I Must be Crazy!!

This is the first dress, or article of clothing I should say, that I have ever attempted.

The goal was, an Easter dress in time for Easter Sunday…

without a pattern…

Yep, I know. I’m a little bit crazy!! But I tend to wing it for most things. I’ve got about a 50/50 success rate, so I thought, why not give it a shot:)

But know what, I think it turned out alright!

And my little girl loves it!!

Ya can’t tell, can you:)

And she had to have a pretty little headband to coordinate of course…

Monday Yummies: Easter S’mores

You won’t believe how SUPER easy this dessert is!

AND… It’s the perfect gift!

These were little Easter favors I whipped up for my family this Easter.  Attach the recipe to the jar, and Voila!  Instant treat:)

Easter S’mores

  • 1 Crush your graham crackers to crumbs.
  • 2 Layer 2/3 of crumbs on the bottom of a 1 quart jar.
  • 3 Place your bunnies standing up and facing out on inside of jar.
  • 4 Press them against the glass but don’t squash them.
  • 5 Carefully spoon the remaining crumbs into the center of jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep snug.
  • 6 On the top of this, pour the Easter M&M’s.
  • 7 Spoon the brown sugar over the top of the M&M’s, gently pressing with a spoon.
  • 8 Wrap fabric or a napkin over the lid, tie a ribbon and attach a gift card that says:  EASTER BUNNY S’MORES.
  • 10 Empty the jar contents into a bowl. Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen sheers or cut with a knife. Return the        bits to mixture and mix well.
  • 11 Melt 1/2 cup butter and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Pour this over the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • 12 Pat into a greased 9×9-inch pan.
  • 13 Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  • 14 Cool and cut into bars.
  • I cut this in half, b/c I used smaller Mason jars, you can pretty much just eye-ball it!
